Get answers to common questions about 6 Cornrows.
A typical 6 Cornrows appointment with extensions takes two to four hours, depending on hair density, length, and added details. Our stylists prioritize precision, so we allow time for neat parting, secure extensions, and a polished finish.
We use experienced braiders and lightweight extensions to minimize scalp tension. If you feel discomfort during styling, tell your stylist immediately — we’ll adjust tension or choose a different extension method to ensure comfort without compromising braid integrity.
With proper care, 6 Cornrows usually remain neat for four to eight weeks. Longevity depends on your hair growth rate, washing routine, and nightly protection. We recommend touch-ups or reinstallation once braids loosen or excessive new growth appears.
Wrap braids with a silk or satin scarf at night, moisturize your scalp with light oil or spray, and avoid heavy creams that cause buildup. When washing, dilute shampoo, rinse gently, and dry completely to prevent mildew or frizz.
You can swim and exercise in 6 Cornrows, but take precautions: wear a swim cap, rinse hair after exposure to chlorine or saltwater, and apply a leave-in conditioner. Re-tightening may be necessary after heavy activity to maintain neatness.
We recommend professional removal to avoid breakage. After takedown, gently detangle, deep-condition, and allow your hair a repair period. Use moisturizing and protein treatments as needed, and schedule trims if shedding or damage is present.
