Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Individuals (Full Head).

Most full-head installations take between two to four hours depending on hair density, extension type, and stylist technique. A consultation helps estimate time based on your desired volume and length, ensuring accurate scheduling and preparation.

When installed and maintained correctly, crochet individuals protect natural hair by minimizing manipulation. Avoid overly tight braids, heavy extensions, and prolonged wear. Our stylists use gentle techniques and recommend maintenance schedules to reduce stress and promote healthy hair growth.

Use sulfate-free shampoos and light conditioners, focusing on the scalp and avoiding heavy products on extension roots. Gently detangle with fingers or a wide-tooth comb, air-dry when possible, and protect hair at night with a satin scarf or bonnet.

With proper care, crochet individuals can last four to eight weeks. Regular maintenance appointments every two to three weeks prevent matting and adjust tension. Removing sooner than recommended helps protect your natural hair and avoids buildup or tangling.

Some synthetic fibers are heat-safe, but many are not. We recommend consulting your stylist and using heat-protectant products only on heat-resistant extensions. When unsure, choose styles that don't require heat to avoid melting or damaging the fiber.

You can, but take precautions: wear a swim cap, rinse and condition hair immediately after swimming to remove chlorine or salt, and secure extensions during workouts. Frequent exposure may shorten extension life, so follow aftercare to maintain texture and prevent tangling.
